Dr Charlotte van Eck is a General Practitioner with a background in conventional, nutritional and environmental medicine.  She works with the best available medical evidence from these traditional, nutritional and environmental fields and with complementary approaches using nutrition, supplements, environmental and lifestyle interventions.

Dr van Eck has witnessed the effectiveness of these approaches with her patients, family and herself.   She believes that a holistic/ integrative approach to medicine is the future of healthcare and personal wellbeing.

Dr van Eck completed her Bachelor of Medicine (HONS) at the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgian and later a Graduate Degree in Tropical Medicine at the Prince Leopold Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgian.  She worked at a mission hospital in Malawi and later completed her Medical Doctorate in General Practice at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands.

For last 6 years, Dr van Eck has been working as a general practitioner in regional Queensland and 2 years ago joined the Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental health.

Dr van Eck believes that her experiences in a variety of healthcare environments has given her insights into the importance of integrative health care. These experiences also have given her a better understanding of how the medical fields and specialties interact and how to ensure the best outcomes are met for her patients.

Dr van Eck enjoys working with any patient and has special interests in chronic diseases i.e. diabetes mellitus, auto immune disorders, neuroinflammatory diseases, women’s and children’s health.
